Mrs. Slane
I’m Cynthia Slane, a third-grade teacher at Valley View Academy. I love teaching and am thrilled to be on staff at the most beautiful school in Duarte. I look forward to coming to work each day because I get the opportunity to teach the best kids in the San Gabriel Valley.
I enjoy nature and spend many weekends with my husband and our dog in our RV. We go on short hikes, swim, read books, spend time at the beach, play pool, and play cards and board games with family and friends.
This is my 18th year teaching. In the past, I’ve been a Resource Specialist teacher in Upland, and I taught a fourth through sixth grade special education class at Maxwell, upper elementary grades at Royal Oaks, and third grade at Valley View since 2017. I’m looking forward to this year and hope to see you on campus soon!
